Brainstorm Blog #4

For my Choose Your Own Webventure project, I want to explore the world of dating in a humorous way that touches on different behaviors and situations that could be either a Green Flag or a Red Flag. Overall, I want the website to be playful as well as beneficial to help Webventure interactors better understand dating scenarios that may be confusing. I want it to serve as a resource for people to see the distinction between actions that are “healthy” behaviors versus “toxic” behaviors. This Webventure can be used as a reference in navigating future dating experiences. I want to make gifs of the red and green flags and want the overall theme of the website to be either Game Show or Labyrinth inspired. In the case of a Game Show theme, I can make the final outcome to end up with the biggest green flag, which would indicate that you are ready for a relationship. On the flip side, ending up with a big red flag would be the worst outcome, meaning that you got played. When considering the Labyrinth theme, I personally think dating is very confusing and often leads to a lot of dead ends. I find it very similar to being stuck in a literal maze because it mentally misleading and draining. In terms of what kind of examples I am going to use for red flags, one might be going on a date with someone at a restaurant and then they decide to make you pay half. A second example would be someone bringing up their ex a lot. A final example would be someone who is very impatient and short tempered. On the contrary, some green flags might be someone who is a good patient listener, communicator, and willing to compromise.
