Brainstorm Blog #1

For my Project 1, I created a French female named Megan Windsor as my alter ego persona. She was born in Paris, France and had a beautiful, romantic childhood as a young talented ballerina. Now she lives in New York City with her cat Charlotte and models professionally in the city. She is very well-spoken and refined, finding pleasure in the little things in life such as through doing hobbies like baking and painting. Dancing alone in her room helps her relax and also she loves reading romance novels. Megan’s friends would best describe her as a very selfless yet sophisticated woman with the highest of poise and class. Her style is reminiscent of traditional and modern Parisian fashion trends. In creating my Faux Selfies for this project, I intend to depict the eloquence of Megan’s character in her clothing choices. I intend to change her hair in different ways such as having it down wearing a fancy bow and having it up in a tight ballerina bun. I also want to make a homage to the 19th-century French artist Edgar Degas, mainly known for his ballerina paintings. I plan to incorporate parts of his works into my Faux Selfies. I also want to experiment with different colors in experimenting with both neutral color palettes and more vibrant colors. I believe that my alter ego Megan Windsor is the perfect synergy between traditional French culture and the modern world. Overall, she exhibits a timeless sense of style and personal identity that is feminine and extremely elegant.
